Ladies and Gentlemen,

Thank you very much for inviting me here today.

This is indeed a very special occasion.

I must congratulate both the SOS Children’s Village and the State Bank of India (Mauritius) for the wonderful work that they are doing.

Contributing to the welfare of the society in which we live and work is indeed a very noble task.

The work that SOS Children’s Village is doing for vulnerable and under-privileged children is very valuable.

At the same time, the generous contribution being made by State Bank of India (Mauritius) will strengthen the hands of the SOS Children’s Village in carrying out the tasks that they have chosen.

While our nations are making steady progress in reducing poverty and improving the living standards of people, the scale and challenge remains huge.

In this, the efforts of civil society and corporate sector play a very important role in complimenting the work of governments.

Once again, may I congratulate the SOS Children’s Village and State Bank of India (Mauritius) for their continuing excellent work for a very important social cause.
