       A 13 member delegation from Powerloom Development & Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL), Mumbai visited Mauritius from March 5-8, 2010. The delegation consisted of Chairman, PDEXCIL Shri Marappan and Deputy Consultant, PDEXCIL Shri Mukundan and representatives of the 11 PDEXCIL member units based in Erode, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Benares. A Buyer-Seller Meet (BSM) was organised on Sunday, March 7 and Monday, March 8, 2010 at Quatre Bornes. The team visited factory units of CMT and Star Knitwear, two major players in the Mauritian textile sector. The team also held meeting with Senior Investment Advisor of Board of Investment.

2. The PDEXCIL delegation also utilised the opportunity to popularise the Reverse Buyer Seller Meet, GITS-2010 (Global India Textile Show) to be held at Codissia, Coimbatore on March 26-27, 2010 under the Market Access Initiative (MAI) Scheme of the Ministry of Commerce.
