Visit of three young Mauritian parliamentarians to India

  A Parliamentary delegation from Mauritius comprising, three members of the National Assembly, Hon. Kalyan Tarolah (MSM), Hon. Joseph Buisson Leopold (OPR) and Hon. Patrice Kursley Armance (PMSD), visited India from 29^th July 2017 to 7^th August 2017 to attend a week long familiarization programme, organized by Government of India, for over 30 young Parliamentarians from African countries.

  Parliamentarians from more than 15 African countries participated in this programme, during which they visited four Indian cities, viz. Delhi, Agra, Ahmedabad and Mumbai. The young parliamentarians delegation, inter alia, called on Hon. Minister of State for External Affairs Gen. (Dr) V.K. Singh (Retd), witnessed the proceedings of the Indian Parliament, visited the Election Commission of India and made site visits to select industrial establishments in India including Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust at Mumbai, the pharmaceutical company CIPLA, and automobile manufacturer Maruti Udyog Ltd, Gurgaon.
