15^th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention – 21 -23 January 2019

The 15^th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention is being organized by Ministry of External Affairs in association with the State Government of Uttar Pradesh in January 2019. In reverence to the sentiments of larger Indian Diaspora community to participate in Kumbh Snan and their desire to witness the Republic Day Parade, the 15^th PBD Convention 2019 will be held from 21 – 23 January 2019 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

The theme of the 15^th PBD Convention is : Role of Indian Diaspora in building a New India.

The schedule of the 15^th PBD Convention is as under

21 Jan. 2019	Special Guest from Norway (Sh. Himanshu Gulati) and Guests of Honour from New Zealand (Sh. Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi) and US Congresswoman (Tulsi Gabbard).
22 Jan. 2019	Inauguration of PBD Convention by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India with Chief Guest, Hon'ble Prime Minister of Mauritius.
23 Jan. 2019	Valedictory keynote address and conferment of PBSAs by Hon'ble President of India
24 Jan. 2019 (morning)	Departure for Allahabad for Kumbh Snan
25 Jan. 2019	Return to New Delhi by special Train
26 Jan. 2019	Participation in the Republic Day Celebrations

The Indian Diaspora in Iceland and local friends of India are requested to participate in the 15^th PBD Convention 2019 which is scheduled to be held in January 2019 and make the event a grand success
