Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR )invites  applications from senior academics/professors working in Universities /Research Institutions/think tanks for appointment as the Nelson Mandela Chair for one semester /academic year from July 2016 in Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India.

Eligibility Criteria:

Scholars/academicians from all social Science disciplines are eligible.  Preference would be given to persons having  specialization inInternational Relations and Politics in Africa region or Indo –African relations .

Terms and Conditions:

The broad terms and conditions for this assignment are as follows:

1-ICCR will pay a consolidated monthly remuneration of INR  1,00,000/- to the Nelson Mandela Chair for the duration of the assignment.

2-ICCR will pay a onetime lumpsum travel grant of INR 1,00,000 to cover costs of un accompanied baggage, miscellaneous travel expenses and other initial establishment costs.

3-ICCR will pay one single economy class return airfare.

4-JNU will provide fully furnished accommodation and office on campus.

5-JNU will provide medical insurances to the Nelson Mandela Chair.
