A warm welcome to the website of the High Commission of India in Mauritius!

As two multicultural, multiethnic and multilingual countries, Mauritius and India enjoy a special and unique relationship that is anchored in our shared history, ancestry, culture, tradition and rich people-to-people ties. Our relations have strengthened over the last seven decades with our common struggle against colonialism and our shared values of democracy, diversity and pluralism. Our two countries have built a close partnership, animated by the desire to improve the lives of our peoples and contribute to a better world.

I feel truly honoured to be a part of this inspiring endeavor and privileged relationship. As I embark on my new assignment here, I greatly look forward to building on this robust foundation and to engaging with the friendly people of Mauritius to further deepen and expand our bilateral collaboration and take Mauritius-India relations to the next level.
