Know India Program (54th, 55th and 56th Edition) - Call for applications

 

The High Commission of India, Port Louis is pleased to inform that the registration for the 54th, 55th and 56th Know India Program (KIP) one of Government of India’s flagship initiatives for engagement with young overseas Indians is open.

The tentative schedule of the upcoming KIPs along with the travel dates and the partner state is given below:


      54 KIP (1 Aug – 25 Aug 2019): Punjab and Haryana


      55 KIP (3 Sept – 27 Sept 2019): Goa


      56 KIP (1 Oct – 25 Oct 2019): Kerala

 

The deadline for participation in the KIPs is as follows:


        54 KIP: 30 June 2019
        55 KIP: 15 July 2019
        56 KIP: 15 August 2019

 

Participation is open to Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) between 18 and 30 years.

 

Know India Programme of the Ministry of External Affairs is a three-week orientation programme for diaspora youth conducted with a view to promote awareness on different facets of life in India and the progress made by the country in various fields e.g. economic, industrial, education, science & technology, communication & information Technology, culture. KIP provide a unique forum for students & young professionals of Indian origin to visit India, share their views, expectations & experiences and to develop closer bonds with the contemporary India.

 

The guidelines for participating in the KIP can be seen at: http://kip.gov.in/home/guidelines. The portal www.kip.gov.in enables Indian-origin youth to apply online for KIP programmes.
