Celebration of 70^th Republic Day of India

         To commemorate the 70^th Republic Day of India, the High Commission of India held a flag hoisting ceremony today morning at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Indian Culture (IGCIC), Phoenix. Acting High Commissioner of India Shri K.D. Dewal unfurled the National Flag of India, and read out the message to the nation by Hon’ble President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind. This was followed by a patriotic colourful cultural programme by the artist of Indira Gandhi Centre for Indian Culture (IGCIC).

2. A large and enthusiastic gathering of nearly 700 people, including prominent members of the Indian community, Indian nationals working in Mauritius, Mauritian friends of India and their families attended the event.
