The official inauguration of Phase IIC of the Metro Express in Mauritius was held in the august presence of Hon. Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius. Other personalities who were present in the event include Hon. Alan Ganoo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Land transport and Light rail of the Republic of Mauritius, Hon. Steven Obeegadoo, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, Mrs. K. Nandini Singla, High Commissioner of India to Mauritius amongst others. The inaugration of the Curepipe Central Station and Phase II-C of the Metro Project, along the Phoenix-Curepipe route was followed by the Metro ride.
